VoiceUZ ("we," "our," or "us") operates the voiceuz.com website and the VoiceUZ API platform. This policy describes how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our services.

1. Information We Collect

Account Information

When you sign up for VoiceUZ, we collect your name, email address, and organization name. If you subscribe to a paid plan, our payment processor (Stripe) handles your billing information — we never store credit card numbers.

Audio Data

When you use our Text-to-Speech (TTS) or Speech-to-Text (STT) APIs:

  • TTS: We receive the text you send for synthesis. Generated audio is streamed directly to you and not stored on our servers after delivery.
  • STT: We receive audio data for transcription. Audio is processed in real-time and discarded after the transcription is returned, unless you explicitly opt in to data retention for model improvement.

Usage Data

We collect standard usage metrics: API call counts, latency measurements, error rates, and IP addresses. This data helps us maintain service quality and debug issues.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To provide and maintain the VoiceUZ platform
  • To process your API requests (TTS and STT)
  • To communicate with you about your account, updates, and support
  • To monitor and improve service performance and reliability
  • To detect and prevent fraud or abuse

3. Data Retention

Account data is retained while your account is active. Audio data processed through our APIs is not stored after delivery unless you opt in. Usage logs are retained for up to 90 days. You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us.

4. Data Security

All data in transit is encrypted using TLS 1.3. API authentication uses bearer tokens with automatic rotation. Our infrastructure runs on AWS with SOC 2-compliant data centers. We conduct regular security reviews of our codebase and infrastructure.

5. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

  • AWS — Cloud infrastructure and GPU compute
  • Cloudflare — DNS, CDN, and DDoS protection
  • Stripe — Payment processing (paid plans only)

Each provider has their own privacy policy. We do not sell your data to any third party.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of your data
  • Export your data in a machine-readable format
  • Opt out of non-essential communications

7. Cookies

Our website uses minimal cookies for essential functionality (session management, preferences). We do not use third-party tracking cookies or advertising pixels.

8. Children's Privacy

VoiceUZ is not intended for use by children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
